This was the absolute highlight of my cousin’s bachelorette party. We met at a predetermined bar and the band arrived and started playing like it was just a normal occurrence in Nola. Our Second Line was postponed once due to Covid, a second time when the City didn't offer permits due to a Halloween parade and then the location and route had to be adjusted. The second line that the Jay Walkers coordinated and performed was the highlight of our wedding for many of our guests. The group coordinated well with the venue and DJ who was running sound for the ceremony. The band played beautifully and The Grand Marshall helped keep the crowds at Bay. The only negative comment was was it ran longer than we had originally asked which was a little far for some of our guests.

We hired The Jaywalkers for a second line parade in the French Quarter for my husband's 75th birthday. Our group of 20 family and friends ranged in age from 25 to 76. Everyone agreed it was the best party they had ever attended. The band is excellent. They play great dixieland music and everyone along the parade route comes pouring out of the bars and into the streets to watch or join your parade. We must be in thousands of people's videos of their vacation in New Orleans. Our parade Grand Marshall, Denise Embree, literally danced to the music for the entire length of the parade route. I would recommend having a second line parade for any special occasion. You will love it and your guests will love it. Denise will take care of all the details, parade permits, the police escort, and answer all your questions. You just show up ready to party, and they do all the rest.

When my daughter asked for a second line at her wedding I had no idea what that was...it turned out to be the most amazing parade in the French quarter that evening. The Jaywalkers kept the music playing and the crowd entertained. Truly an event our family and friends will be talking about for a very long time.

This weekend, I celebrated my 60th Birthday with family and friends in New Orleans.The highlight of the four day celebration/trip was the Second Line Parade.Grand Marshall, Darlene, lead the Jaywalkers Second Line Band and our group around the French Quarter. We drank, marched and danced along, St Louis, Bourbon, St Phillip to Royal Street; finishing with the band playing" When the Saints Go Marching In" at Brennan's, our B-Day dinner destination. The Second Line Parade experience exceeded all my expectations. For half an hour, I was on a natural high; for there is no greater feeling than owning a city street with hundreds of onlookers joining in the Celebration! We were looking for an event for an association meeting in New Orleans and came across Jazzman. What a find! Our members have traveled the world and it is always difficult to find something that is not "been there, done that." The band was wonderful, and Grand Marshal Darlene is entertainment at its best. Our members were still talking about it at the meeting the next day. Jazzman took care of everything - city permits, a fantastic route, police escort and, although they didn't take credit for it - great weather! Everything happened right on schedule and as planned. Jazzman came highly recommended to me and the interaction with them I can see why. Not only are they talented and passionate musicians but they are people of great character that has empathy for others. There is definite soul within the Jazzman.

One of my guests with a bad knee said "I had the time of my life. Thank You!!!" Another said "Fun fun fun! The most fun I've ever had at a wedding!" and then "Yea...Darlene Embree is awesome!" Darlene and the Jaywalkers were amazing. My boyfriend was sooo surprised when we threw a ridiculous outfit on him and lead him up to the band and they started playing happy birthday. I must echo the accolades of all the 5 star reviews given for the Jaywalkers. For many years we've seen the Jaywalkers in action and I promised myself if ever we were to get a large group together we would celebrate with a parade (there were 18 of us). From initial contact to the day of the parade, was made easy on us as the parade participants. Darlene and crew were timely, professional, and most importantly, fun! The band was spectacular and all eyes and cameras were on our group as we traveled our parade route. It was the culmination of an amazing trip to New Orleans. I would highly recommend anyone considering hiring these wonderful entertainers to take the opportunity and go with it. It was worth every single penny and then some. Laissez les bon temps rouler!

The Jaywalkers were amazing! They were the hit of the night - did a great job setting the tone. In the end they had everyone dancing down the street.

WOW!! I was so excited to celebrate my 40th in NOLA and to surprise everyone with the Second Line.... But even I was not prepared for how great this event was going to be! My guests were shocked and have said on numerous occasions that this was the BEST event they have every been too! Thank you Darlene and Jaywalkers!

Darlene & The Jaywalkers were amazing, as always! The group had the best time - couldn't believe we "shut down Bourbon Street just for them". Darlene & Jerry are great to work with - they handle all of the logistics/ permits/ etc with professionalism and NOLA charm. I have used them before for Second Lines and will use them again!

Darlene and the Jaywalkers were absolutely amazing giving our group a truly unique New Orleans experience. Love the motorcycle police buzzing to close off the streets for us. We danced, laughed, and sang along the parade route that Darlene had planned. Would definitely hire them again and refer them.
